Status Update on Chloe's Spine

This week, I finally managed to get the x-rays of my daughter’s spine that were taken by two different hospitals. Since 4 months have passed between those two x-rays, I’m keen to know if any progression in the curve is visible. Yesterday I sent the x-rays to three different orthopedic surgeons and now I need to wait to find out their diagnosis.

If there has been no progression (or worsening) of the curve, then this may be spinal asymmetry which needs to be watched – but no treatment is necessary.

If there has been a progression (or worsening) of the curve, then we need to measure the speed at which it is progressing and we’ll need to talk about treatment.

X-Ray From December 2009
X-Ray From April 2010

Fortunately, since April, Chloe hasn’t complained one bit about any pain in her back. She seems to be sleeping well and isn’t sore in the morning.

I’m crossing my fingers.
